                          Yukon Adventurers…
Scouts have been preparing for this adventure all year long, gathering warm clothes, snow shoes, and food as well as survival provisions to allow them the ability to take claim to a rich supply of GOLD.  Our Scouts have been honing their skills; archery, sling shots, knots and lashings.  They have even been practicing their technique in crossing swift flowing rivers, transportation of their provisions and of course pancake flipping (scouts are always hungry).  We know the scouts are ready for any weather and or conditions thrown at them.  “Scouts are clean but they are not afraid to get dirty.” (Mike Rowe, 2013 National Jamboree)  However, exploration of the area, by the Yukon old-timers did not produce sufficient results for the main reason we hold the Yukon…GOLD.

The Yukon old timers conducted further exploration to the north and identified an area so rich in gold that we will move on to fill our pockets with GOLD so full we will be hardly able to walk.

The Yukon old timers attempt to provide a venue capable providing fun for each level of Cub Scouts as well as accommodate their parents.   Due to conditions beyond our control the Yukon old timers has been forced to reschedule and relocate this year’s Yukon trail event to Spruce Run Recreation Area Address:  68 Van Syckel’s Road Clinton, NJ 08809…Office(908) 638-8572.  GPS Coordinates: DMS 40° 39 46 N 74° 56′ 20″ W.

The Yukon will be held on the 28th of March 2015 from 10:00 am to 3:00 PM.  We will be in the main parking lot of Spruce Run Recreation Area.
We hope to have a concession stand available selling hot dogs and chips, but in the spirit of “Be Prepared”, you may want to bring a lunch with you.

THANK YOU
