Pit Night and check-in: This event is on Friday, January 30th at the East Amwell Elementary school Gym and will be held from approximately 7:00-8:30 pm. During this evening the boys can test run their cars on the track, make any adjustments and then have their car’s final inspections/registration/check-in and then the cars will be held by race officials until Saturday’s Race time. The goal here is to register/inspect as many cars as possible on Friday evening so that there are fewer issues for Saturday morning. If the boy’s cars are not checked in on Friday evening, they must come to registration at 9:00 am on Saturday 1/31. At no time during the testing of the cars will any side by side racing be allowed, and no computer times will be displayed. Boys should only handle their own cars during this time. We will have some refreshments available so that you can help support the pack and this PWD event.

Pinewood Derby Race Day- East Amwell School Gym Saturday January 31, 2015 The Pinewood Derby Event will be held at the EAS Gym and will begin with registration initiating at 9:00 am sharp and concluding at 9:45 am. We encourage all to attend as this is a family event. Actual racing slots will be based on the following schedule(approximate times):

LUNCH BREAK

Siblings- 12:25-12:45 pm

Leader of the Pack 12:50-1:10 pm

Unlimited/Open- 1:15-1:35 pm

These running times are just an estimate and will be determined by the number of boys participating the day of the event. These should be used only as a guideline so that you can plan your day. At times there are issues that come up throwing the schedule off. Please keep in mind that the purpose of this event is to encourage all boys to be present not just during their own time slots but also during all racing to support the other boys and the pack in general. If your boy has a conflict with their time slot but would like to run their car, you must contact your Den leader ahead of time and the car must still be registered during the registration period on Friday night or between 9:00-9:45 am on Saturday.

Lunch/Refreshments will be Available on Saturday. At no time will food or drinks be allowed in the EAS gym, all proceeds support the Pack. We will be following the 2014 Pack 32 PWD Rules and Regulation document emailed out and posted on the Pack website. All final decisions will be made by the Race Day officials. Please show good Sportsmanship throughout the event and remember that this is for all our Scouts enjoyment. Thank you in advance to all those parents that are helping out on race day. HELLO PACK 32 SCOUTS AND FAMILIES,

WE ARE FAST APPROACHING THE WINTER CAMP-OUT AT CAMP WINNEBAGO (Winnebago Scout Reservation, 102 Timberbrook Road  Rockaway, NJ 07866).

Our Pack will once again travel to Winnebago Scout Reservation in Rockaway NJ for our annual winter camp-out! Don’t worry you won’t freeze! We will be sleeping in heated cabins for the weekend. Of course if you you are a hard core camper you are free to bring your cold weather gear and pitch your tent outside. We will arrive at the Reservation on Friday evening and depart on Sunday morning before 11:00 am. We will be cooking outside using the Pack’s extensive camping gear, so you don’t need to bring any cooking gear. The cost of the meals for the weekend are included in the $25/person fee.

There will be activities throughout the day on Saturday including BB-guns, hiking, games, fire building and knot tying. This is an excellent opportunity for your scout to complete the Outdoors-man activity badge.
 We have created a my-signup page:    http://www1.mysignup.com/winnebago_camp_out
The cost is $25 per person and should cover all of the expenses.
As always this is a family event and all are welcomed. Please be aware that the cabins have pot-belly stoves for heat, however please bring all the appropriate clothes for camping. Outdoor activities will be scheduled during the weekend.
We look forward to seeing you at the Camp-out.

SCOUTS FALL FOOD DRIVE: 11/8 & 11/15 @ CVS LAMBERTVILLE

Nov 3, 2014 in Pack News and Announcements

 HELLO CUB-SCOUTS AND FAMILIES,
As part of our community services, Pack 32 and Troop 49  are partnering to collect food for those in need. Particularly at this time of year, when we are so busy preparing for the holidays, its nice to take the time to help those who are not as fortunate, or are having a difficult time.  Also, WEBELO scouts need a den service project to earn their Citizenship badge on the pathway to the Webelos Badge!  AOL’s need as many service projects as they can get!  And Boy Scouts need 6 hours of service between each rank advancement.  The Food Drive also counts for your school community service hours.
FOOD DRIVE EMPTY BAG DISTRIBUTION:SATURDAY 11/8 – 9:00 AM at the CVS in Lambertville( Cherry st) to help out, please be at the CVS by 9am on Saturday, November 8th.  We will leave from there to distribute empty bags on porches throughout the community.
FOOD DRIVE FILLED BAG PICK-UP:  SATURDAY 11/15 – 9:00 AM at the CVS in Lambertville.
The following Saturday (11/15) at 9AM, we will be collecting the filled bags and dropping them off at the Lambertville Food Panty behind St. John’s Church in Lambertville.  Since we usually cannot drop off bags until Noon, we will need those with large cars to come back at Noon to pass the bags to the pantry.  PS :  And sometimes whoever is left can join together to break bread(eat) at Sneddon’s while we wait to finish at the food pantry. This has become a favorite moment!
Any questions, feel free to contact Beth Bauer, by phone (609-647-6246) or email (bethbauer@posiroi.com)
or  Jim Cally (jjcncc@netzero.com)
Thanks for your service to others!
